Terms of Service
The agreement for using the Tabfinity extension and service: plans and prices, subscriptions and cancellations, acceptable use, and the limits of our liability.

1. These terms
These Terms of Service are an agreement between you and [Legal entity] ("we", "us") for your use of the Tabfinity browser extension, the Tabfinity service it connects to, and this website. By installing the extension or using the service, you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, do not use Tabfinity.
Our Privacy Policy describes what data is involved, and forms part of these terms.
2. Who can use Tabfinity
You must be at least 13 years old. If you are under the age of majority where you live, you may only use paid plans with the involvement of a parent or guardian who accepts these terms. You need a Google account to sign in to the optional account features.
3. What the service is
Tabfinity replaces Chrome's new tab page with a personal browser workspace: groups ("tabs"), folders, custom arrangement, search, widgets and a set of small tools. Its records are stored in your own Chrome bookmark tree, and Chrome may sync them across your devices under your Google account.
The core extension works without an account. Creating an account adds the free trial, paid plans and the tools those plans include. We may add, change or remove features, provided we do not withdraw material functionality you have already paid for during a period you have paid for.
4. Your account
- Sign-in is handled by Google. You are responsible for the security of the Google account you sign in with, and for activity that happens through your account.
- Where you choose a display name, keep it accurate enough that we can recognise your account in support requests.
- You may sign out or stop using the extension at any time. Uninstalling the extension removes the data it stored in the browser; it does not cancel a paid subscription.
- One account per person. Do not share an account to circumvent plan limits.
5. Free plan, trial and premium plans
- Free
- No charge, no account required. Includes up to three tabs, unlimited bookmarks, and the everyday tools. Folders, and some tools (the whiteboard, subscription tracker and warranty keeper), are not included.
- Free trial
- 14 days of the premium features, no card required, available once per account. It does not renew and does not charge you; when it ends your account returns to the free plan.
- Premium
- Billed as a subscription: $2.00 per month, or $24.00 per year currently offered at $18.00 per year. Premium removes the tab limit, adds folders, and includes the tools listed above.
Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes, which Paddle adds at checkout where they apply. We may change prices; a change never applies to a period you have already paid for, and we will give you notice before it applies to a renewal.
6. Billing
Payments are processed by Paddle, which acts as the merchant of record for our sales. Paddle handles the checkout, the payment method and the invoices, which is why a payment appears to have been made to Paddle on your statement. We never receive or store your card details.
Subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period — monthly or yearly, whichever you chose — until you cancel. If a renewal payment fails, we may keep your features active for a short grace period while payment is retried, and suspend them if it is not completed.
7. Cancelling and resuming
You can cancel a subscription from the extension at any time. A cancellation stops future renewals and takes effect at the end of the billing period you have already paid for: you keep the premium features until then and your account then returns to the free plan. You can also resume a cancellation you have scheduled before that date, which leaves the subscription in place as if you had not cancelled it.
Cancelling is not a refund of the current period, and uninstalling the extension does not cancel a subscription. Cancel first, or write to us if you cannot.
8. Refunds
Refunds are handled through Paddle under its buyer terms, and we will not make you argue with a policy where a charge was clearly made in error. If something went wrong with a payment, email hello.tabfinity@gmail.com with the email address used at checkout and we will look at it with you. Nothing here limits a refund right you have under the law that applies to you.
9. Acceptable use
Use the service as intended. In particular, do not:
- Attempt to access another person’s account, or use the service to break the law.
- Interfere with, overload, probe or attempt to bypass the security of our API or of our payment provider.
- Circumvent plan limits or payment by sharing an account, reselling access, or using the service to build a competing paid product from it.
- Reverse engineer the service except where that restriction is not permitted by law.
Scripts and utilities in the toolbox are provided for your own use; you are responsible for what you do with their output.
10. Your content and backups
The bookmarks, folders, notes, icons, settings and tool records you create belong to you. We claim no ownership of them, and we do not receive or host them.
Tabfinity is not a backup service. Your records live in Chrome's bookmark tree and in Chrome extension storage, and we cannot recover them: not if they are deleted, not if Chrome sync overwrites them, and not if the browser profile is removed. Keep your own backups. Removing the extension removes its storage; deleting the "Tabfinity" folder in your bookmarks deletes its records.
11. Third-party services
Some features depend on services we do not control: Google for signing in, search suggestions and bookmark icons; a geo-location lookup and a weather service for the weather widget; and Paddle for payments. Their terms and privacy policies apply to their part of the service, and we are not responsible for their availability. The full list is in the Privacy Policy.
12. Availability and changes
We aim to keep Tabfinity working, but we do not promise uninterrupted availability. Parts of it depend on Chrome, Google and Paddle, and we may suspend or change the service — for maintenance, for security, or because a feature is retired. If we discontinue a paid feature during a period you have paid for, we will refund the unused part of that period.
13. Disclaimers
To the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, merchantability and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the service will be error-free or that it will preserve your data. Nothing in these terms excludes a warranty or right you have that cannot be excluded by law.
14. Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, nor for lost data, lost profits or lost goodwill arising from your use of the service. Our total liability for all claims relating to the service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the event giving rise to the claim, or the minimum amount the applicable law allows. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
15. Termination
You may stop using the service at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these terms, if we are required to by law, or if we discontinue the service; where we terminate for a reason other than your breach, we will refund the unused part of any period you have paid for. Sections that by their nature should survive termination — liability, disclaimers, governing law — survive it.
16. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the product changes. The "Last updated" date at the top always reflects the current version, and material changes will be noted in the extension or on this site before they take effect. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
17. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of [Jurisdiction], and the courts of that place have jurisdiction over any dispute, without affecting consumer rights you have where you live.
18. Contact
Questions about these terms, billing problems, or a legal notice: email hello.tabfinity@gmail.com. We aim to reply within a few working days.
